Georgios: Hidden Heritage, by A. K. Fraley is one of the best examples of historical fiction I’ve read in a while. Through fictional characters, Frailey introduces historical figures and events in a way that is totally credible, while at the same time entertaining.
Her fictional characters, in fact, are sometimes even more real than those who actually existed. She makes us feel what they feel and see what they see. This is a great example of history come alive. -Charles Ray
Stephen rated Georgios I Hidden Heritage 5 of 5 stars on Good Reads! Nice adventure book interlaced with sacred moments. This is the initial book in a series and it whets the appetite for more. The journey they are on is full of danger and is bound to continue as they come into contact with forces of evil in the world. Nice character development and action packed.

“Interesting, factual, well-researched, A.K. Frailey’s Georgios is a must read for historical fiction fans. The novel takes place in the year 100 AD and our young protagonist has been “destined for greatness” by his family. The Greek boy later discovers that his lineage isn’t what he thought it was. In the end, this unique coming of age story is an inspiring tale for young and old.” –Ellen Gable Hrkach
Georgios was destined for greatness—at least that was what his grandparents told him, his father assured him, and his mother embedded in his heart. But before he could face his destiny he must discover where his loyalty lies and what mystery shadows his every step. Living on the island of Patmos in the year 100 AD, he sees the world through Greek eyes, but he also knows there is more to life than the security of home—a turbulent world is calling him forth. At the age of 13, Georgios embarks on a voyage to find his father and runs headlong into a world teetering on the edge of a precipice.
Georgios II – A Chosen People, the sequel to Georgios I – A Hidden Heritage, had me spellbound as I was taken to the ancient world through the characters, culture and beliefs of the time. A well-developed story with a satisfying conclusion kept me turning the pages anticipating the fate of the characters and marveling at how well the development of Christian belief was intertwined with the story. Highly recommended. ―Ann Stock, wife, mother and OSMM member

On this quest, Georgios, a stranger in foreign lands, encounters vicious enemies, strange gods, deception, unwelcome truths, but also true friendships, love, acceptance and inner peace.
