In a midnight sky,
Announcing glorious news—low and high!
Amid glowing starlight,
Weary hearts see a joy-filled sight
On a blank screen go by…
Wisemen traveling to the King of Kings.
Camel bells chime and ring.
Glazed eyes surf the net.
Nothing of interest, no, not yet.
Media trends for glory spot.
Newsy news and messy rot.
A baby’s birth, man-divine,
God’s holy, mercy sign.
Nano-bytes and techno-bits,
Humanity’s no match for bots’ mighty hits.
Never silence in the night.
Longing for peace, a familiar plight.
Triune God in family,
Humble servants’ harmony.
Strangers in person
Snapped relationships worsen.
Nowhere left to go.
Hate fills in from far below.
A touch of Grace
Slows the pace.
Peer not out—but in—and see.
Not progress in technology,
But Christmas as it should be.
